Foraging in early May

It’s springtime here in the UK and nature has sprung to life. The blossom is in full bloom on many of the trees and new foliage is sprouting. It’s a good time to forage for things like wild garlic, comfrey, hawthorn leaves and stinging nettles and there are plenty of these available to collect along the banks of my local beck.

It’s also a good time to see other plants and trees begin their bloom and we are able to see what we will forage in the later month of summer begin to make their first appearances.

Here is a gallery of images from my short walk along the beck this evening.
